What makes Singita Castleton Camp Special?

Singita Castleton Camp is an inviting, comfortable hideaway that exudes timeless charm. The camp is booked as an exclusive villa and can accommodate up to twelve guests at a time.

The Reserve

Singita Sabi Sands is an unfenced, privately owned game reserve that extends over 45 000 acres, and lies adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Fences between the two conservation areas were dropped years ago, and an abundance of wildlife roam freely across the land. Singita Sabi Sand is renowned for high concentrations of big game and frequent leopard sightings. During your stay at Castleton Camp, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including leopard, lion, rhino, large herds of buffalo, elephant, reedbuck, hyena, hippopotamus, nyala, cheetah, wild dogs and many species of birds.

The Camp

Surrounding the classic stone farmhouse with its wide verandah are six chalets, each luxuriously appointed in a comfortable colonial style and enjoying one of the most stunning views in the Sabi Sand Reserve. Each chalet sleeps two people, and has en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning.

A large swimming pool provides the perfect means of cooling off during the heat of the Lowveld summer.

Dinner may be taken in the lavish colonial dining room of the farmhouse, or around the fire in the boma.

Castleton caters for the discerning traveller wanting personalised service in a homely bush atmosphere. It has world class comfort, style, food and rare vintage wines.

Children of all ages are welcome.

Creature Comforts

Tempt your palate with cuisine of exceptional standards, and enjoy premium wines, spirits and liqueurs from the Premier Wine Boutique, which contains some of the continent’s most sought-after private reserves. All meals are included, but some boutique wines and champagne may be charged separately.

The Experience

Guests at Castleton are attended to by their own personal tracker and game ranger, and an open Land Rover is placed at their disposal.

Daily game drives provide the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals, while spotlit nighttime drives reveal the elusive magic of nocturnal Africa.

Bush walks are an incredible way to experience the bush ‘up close and personal’. Your expert guide and tracker will accompany you as you track animals on foot through the wilderness and explore the magnificent plants and landscapes around you. Bush walks are usually scheduled after the first game drive.
